  17.           As many of you saw in your mailboxes, some of the addresses
  18.           changed this week with the creation of WBAds. Hopefully this
  19.           doesn't cause a lot of problems for anyone in the future, but
  20.           hopefully everone has bookmarked those for the future. Here's
  21.           more info.

  25.           WBAds was designed to meet the ever growing needs of businesses
  26.           finding the internet and WWW as a viable business tool to
  27.           announce themselves to the community. WBAds was spawned from
  28.           the Weekly Bookmark which was designed also for the same needs.
  29.           WBAds contains business and corporate announcements and press
  30.           releases that are of interest to a large amount of readers.
  31.           Despite its business nature, WBAds will not be a publication
  32.           filled with advertisements of specials for products or
  33.           services. It will only consist of corporate announcements. If
  34.           you are still skeptical, stop by and see the first issue as it
  35.           is created.

  230.         First International Virtual Conference on Mad Science

  233.                 Mad science is a much maligned domain of human knowledge
  234.                 and its practitioners have for too long been relegated to
  235.                 B-movies and remote ancestral estates. IVCMS provides an
  236.                 international forum for the presentation, discussion and
  237.                 extension of research into these darkly powerful
  238.                 pseudosciences and dangerous technologies which fall
  239.                 beyond the scope of conventional science and good taste.
  240.                 The purpose of the conference is to promote a general
  241.                 understanding of mad topics within the broader scientific
  242.                 community, to encourage new researchers to dabble with
  243.                 things best left alone, to attract commercial sponsors to
  244.                 the potential benefits of mad science in the business
  245.                 world, and to replace the old drooling maniac stereotype
  246.                 of the mad scientist with a new drooling maniac image
  247.                 which is more appropriate to the modern era. The
  248.                 conference will be hosted in a suitably baroque homepage
  249.                 to avoid the overheads of unpredictable atmospheric
  250.                 conditions and revolting peasants.
